Education
I have completed my bachelors in Medical Biotechnology and my first masters in Medical Genetics. I recently obtained my second Masters in Public health from Oregon State University with a GPA of 3.78. My ambition is to be a physician and to serve in the most underprivileged parts of the country where there is a huge primary care shortage and not enough clinical care. To keep up with my ambition I am also planning to apply to medical school in the next few years and pursue my dreams.
Experience
I have been working as a tutor in a community college for a little less than a year and have been private tutoring selective number of students for almost a year. I have also been a teaching and research assistant at OSU for more than 3 years while pursing both my masters degree. I have been well trained in the area of biology, medical genetics with a triple major bachelor in chemistry, biology and biotechnology. I have also taken courses in public health, Psychology, Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology, Genetics, Physics and Clinical Genetics with over 8 years of research and clinical experience. I have also been around student communities for a long time now and I have taken classes in cultural competency training and passed the training with excellent outcomes. I also have been a peer education counselor at the universities I have studied. I want to be a stepping stone for students to succeed and do well in college. I strongly believe today`s students are tomorrow`s future and leaders. Hence, I love working with them, help them succeed in their school and classes. When I was growing up I did not have this opportunity of being helped and hence I have a deep realization of the importance of tutors in education sector. I am proud to be one of them. In my career as an educator, I have seen setbacks in students life such as learning disabilities and lack of academic advice at the right time which had often led to discouragement and lack of confidence among those students. Hence, with my experience in academic counseling and working one on one with students with learning disability, I want to help them feel confident that they can do it and succeed with some quality help from academic tutors, teachers and mentors. I take tutoring job as a privileged opportunity to help student succeed in college and pursue their academic goals.

Hobbies
I have been training in classical music and its my passion to keep honing my music skills as time permits. I am a trained vocalist for 17 years and I am still keeping up with my learning because I feel that there can be no end for learning and still all I can know will only be a drop in the ocean of knowledge. I have also been volunteering in many local and community organizations and I make sure I take out at-least 5 hours of my time every week to be able to work for the needs of the community.
