I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, with a minor in Psychology, from Oregon State University. After college, I worked in Alaska in the fishing industry, I was a firefighter in Oregon, and I am currently studying to become an actuary. I have several years of experience tutoring many different levels of math to students from elementary school through college. Math can be a hard subject for some students to pick up in a classroom, as they may feel there's not enough time for them to ask questions or they may feel embarrassed to ask their instructor to go back over a concept. Tutoring is one-on-one and the lessons move at a speed that is most beneficial to the student.
