Experience
I have volunteered in kindergarten, second grade, and fifth grade classrooms assisting the teacher in various subjects. In Kindergarten classroom, I mainly focused on phonics, reading, writing, and math. In the second grade classroom, I worked with students mainly in writing, reading, english, and math. In the fifth grade classroom, I mainly worked with students on reading, writing, english, math and social studies. In college I took many Human Development and Family Science classes such as working with children with Special Needs, infants and adolescents, as well as adults. In January thru March 2011, I did part-time student teaching in a fifth grade classroom where I was required to teach a curriculum of my choice; I chose mysteries.

Hobbies
I love to work with children and help them grow. I teach children using creative ways to learn material. I also am positive and rewarding with students even if they are continuing to struggle. I never get angry with children as that is not a positive way to work with them. I also use the "hamburger method" which consists of a positive comment, constructive feedback, and again ending with a positive comment. That way they know what they are doing wrong, but always receiving positive feedback at the end to know they are still doing a good job.
