Experience
I've taught college students for 14 years, and was also a TA at Oregon State, and have worked with students ranging in age from 14 to 65. I have served as the educator for a wildlife organization doing classroom presentations (and also at our former museum). I also used to teach first aid and CPR courses to a wide range of students, and have worked as a peer counselor, camp counselor, exchange-student parent, and foster parent. I've lived in three other countries and seven other states and am comfortable with a multicultural approach to learning.

Hobbies
I'm an avid hiker and global traveler. I study aikido (and occasionally teach it), as well as ballroom dancing and scuba diving (though not as much with each as I used to!) We have dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and fish. I also own and operate a small press for my fiction, and continue to research and write.
