Education
I received my Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Oregon State University in 2014. My academic focus outside of Spanish was pre-physician assistant studies and I have just recently completed the application process to PA school. In 2012, I completed a Spanish immersion program at University of Cantabria in Santander, Spain. The program is devoted to engaging students in life outside of the English-speaking norm by providing them with host families and professors who converse and teach in Spanish only.
Experience
I majored in Spanish with an ultimate goal of becoming a bilingual health care provider. During my undergraduate years, I worked as a Spanish tutor for middle/high school and college level students as well as working adults looking to expand their Spanish skills in the professional setting. I have spent my post-graduate years working in a podiatry clinic in Salem as a medical assistant and translator when necessary. In addition, I received a certificate from the Oregon Health Care Interpreter's Association to further my credentials as a Spanish speaker in the medical field. Whether students need help mastering a single topic that may seem confusing, are looking for thorough practice before tests, or working to become more coherent in conversation, I enjoy helping to identify the most tailored approach to do these things based on each individual's learning style.

Hobbies
In my free time, I have a 7 month old lab/shepherd mix who keeps me fairly busy. I play piano, guitar and banjo just for kicks. Depending on the time of year, I can be found watching Seahawks, Mariners, and Blazers games.
